Arm Slings are used in the treatment of injured shoulders, elbows, arms, hands, and wrists. They are specifically designed to be lightweight and easy to adjust to provide maximum comfort and protection for the patient. Wearing an arm sling keeps your arm against your body and prevents you from moving your arm too much during recovery.
STAYGUARD™ IS THE BRAND OF CHOICE
StayGuard™ brand of Arm Slings is uniquely positioned as the brand of choice for medical professionals with distribution to both developed and developing markets.
Made with a range of premium quality materials, such as polyester, polyamide, polyurethane, elastane, and cotton, our universal arm slings are designed to give support to the injured arm and provide the right environment for healing. Our Arm Slings comfortably distribute the weight of the arm and have an adjustable shoulder strap. Their design also features a strap that goes around your waist to hold the arm against the body.
PRODUCT USAGE
You must wear your sling properly to prevent fluid and blood from accumulating in the hand or wrist. Start from placing your injured arm in the pocket of the sling. Pull the strap around your neck and secure it. Make sure that the strap doesn’t cause the tension on your neck. Your sling should be supporting your shoulder and feel comfortable around the neck. Keep in mind that your elbow should be bent 90 degrees while you’re wearing your sling so your arm does not hang too low.

FAQs
How do I take care of my arm sling?
You can wash your arm sling in cold water with mild soap. Let it dry naturally. Do not wring, tumble dry or bleach.
Do I need to exercise my arm?
Because the sling is designed to immobilize the shoulder, it can cause a decreased range of motion. It is necessary that you regularly loosen or release the sling and do some gentle exercises to prevent stiffness of the joints. This should be done at least 4 times per day.
How often do I need to take the sling off?
Follow your doctor’s instructions. How long you wear an arm sling depends on your diagnosis and how you heal. Stop using the medical equipment and contact your medical professional if any discomfort occurs.
Can I sleep with my arm sling on?
Yes, however, we recommend sleeping on your back, with a pillow under your injured arm for support. Some patients find it more comfortable to sleep in a semi-seated position.
