Combined Cotton-Filled Dressings, also commonly known as Gamgee Tissue® (a registered trademark of Robinson Healthcare), consists of a highly absorbent thick layer of cotton enclosed in a non-woven fabric or gauze folded over to form a flat tube. As a surgical dressing, the cotton filling is absorbent while the surface layers are soft and breathable.

StayGuard™ combined cotton-filled dressings are suitable for use when a sterile dressing, either as a wound dressing for infected wounds or protection and support of joints and tendons, is required after a surgical procedure. In addition, gauze or non-woven cotton-filled dressings can be used as extra padding or to alleviate heat loss. These combined dressing rolls are ideal for medium to heavy exuding wounds, because they can offer high quality protection against infection. FAQs
Can the combined dressing roll be used in animals?
Yes. It is a very good option for animals for protecting wounds before bandaging.
Can I use it in exuding wounds?
Yes. It is ideal for exuding wounds because combined dressing rolls have highly absorbent layers to protect wounds and healthem faster.
What's the difference between non-woven and gauze surface layers?
Both options serve the same purpose, but gauze provides a softer surface for the patient. Non-woven is also soft and breathable, although not as much so, but the main difference from gauze is it is more economical.
