Compression Bandage, also known as an elastic bandage, is a long strip of stretchable cloth that can be wrapped around the injured area. It helps minimize swelling and reduces pressure by keeping fluids from gathering at the injury site. Common conditions where compression bandage should be used include bruises, sprains, muscle strains, varicose veins, and swollen limbs.
STAYGUARD™ IS THE BRAND OF CHOICE
StayGuard™ brand of Compression Bandages is uniquely positioned as the brand of choice for medical professionals with distribution to both developed and developing markets. Made with medical-grade cotton and polyester, our Compression Bandages are ISO, CE, and USFDA certified.
Compression Bandages do a perfect job of compressing an injury and inflammation and act as the most reliable treatment for venous leg ulcers and leg swellings. Our Compression Bandages have high elasticity and can stretch up to several times their length. They also perfectly accommodate the shape of the limb and can sustain high pressures during both mobility and relaxation.
PRODUCT USAGE
Compression bandages are a common step in first aid procedures and an essential part of any first aid kit. A compression bandage may help to prevent swelling in the first 24 to 48 hours after injury. Putting on a compression bandage is easy, and you can do it at home. Avoid wrapping it too tightly, it should not cut off circulation. We recommend combining resting, compression, and elevation of an injured limb. However, don’t forget to loosen the wrap at night while sleeping. Also never apply ice and compression bandage at the same time.

FAQs
How do I take care of my compression bandage?
Wash it by hand in lukewarm soapy water. Then rinse it, and let it air dry on a flat surface. No ironing is required.
When compression bandages should NOT be used?
Elastic bandages should not be used over an open wound. Also, serious injuries need professional medical attention.
How tight should I wrap my compression bandage to be effective?
You want the bandage to fit well to get the benefits of compression, but you do not want it so tight that it starts to restrict blood flow. If it feels uncomfortable, it is probably too tight.
Can my compression bandage cause itchiness of the skin?
There are no materials in our compression bandages that can cause skin irritation. The elastic bandages are made from cotton and polyester. If you have experienced irritation while wearing compression bandage, it could be from extended use or contact dermatitis – if the wrapped skin gets sweaty, it can sometimes itch. The irritation could also occur if the bandage hasn’t been washed for a long time. If you do experience skin irritation, please contact your doctor for further advice.
