Kinesiology Tape, also known as K-tape or KT, is a therapeutic tape that is applied to the body for treating pain or disability from athletic injuries or other physical disorders. Kinesiology tapes are very stretchy and are made of a dense, elastic cotton with a rubber/acrylic adhesive. PRODUCT USAGE
Kinesiology tape can be applied in various shapes and patterns, depending on your goals. Start by cleaning and drying the area. Keep in mind that skin oils may prevent the tape from sticking. It is recommended to trim excess hair because it could keep the tape from getting a good grip on your skin. Then, apply kinesiology tape directly over the area that hurts with a little stretch and avoid touching the adhesive. After you apply the tape, rub the strip vigorously for several seconds to activate the glue. To get to the full adhesion it takes around 20 minutes.

When should I decide to not use kinesiology tape?
Kinesiology tape should not be used during certain medical conditions, such as open wounds, deep vein thrombosis, active cancer, diabetes, allergy, sensitive and fragile skin.
How can I safely remove kinesiology tape?
First, apply some oil (like baby oil or olive oil) or lotion on top of the tape to loosen the strip. Then, remove it slowly and don’t pull up. If your skin is irritated or damaged, don’t reapply the tape.
Will kinesiology tape harm my skin?
Kinesiology tape is latex-free and hypoallergenic, so it shouldn’t cause any skin irritations if it’s applied properly and if you don’t have sensitivities. However, we recommend applying a test strip first.
Can kinesiology tape facilitate scar treatment?
Yes. Kinesiology taping can improve unsightly scarring of any age, but for better effects, they are recommended to apply right after stitches have been removed.
